The price is right for this planter box. It's plastic and assembles in a snap. It could have a nicer finish than the basic plastic look but it's nice enough for the price and does the job well. I love that it has an extra shelf on the bottom. I have my herbs on top and flowers on the shelf and it's been perfect for my little herb garden. They've flourished all season (basil, thyme, oregano). There is a hole in the bottom for drainage that drains into the flowers below.. mine didn't come with a plug for this hole but drainage is necessary.. just keep this in mind when placing things on the bottom shelf - they may get wet if under the drain hole. I bought one of these as a gift for my older parents who would find it easier to stand while gardening and my friends liked it so much they bought one for themselves. It's also light-weight so it can be easily moved with 2 people - it's large enough to be awkward to hold with just one person.
