Wow! I consider myself a bit of an oddball in that, I'm a black seed oil connoisseur. I've been sold on the effects for years, but I've only found one other brand that I considered consistent and high quality enough to use regularly. That brand is Heritage by the way, I have reviewed that oil as well. Well, after trying this, I'm sold on Madre Nature quality. I've been using their Camu Camu for a few months-it's shockingly fresh, and I wanted to see if that quality was the same in their Black Seed Oil. This is honestly the freshest, most potent Black Seed Oil I've ever tasted. It's dark and pungent, and it burns going down-all indicators of a quality oil. Whatever you do, don't by Black Seed Oil that is promoted as "mild". That's a good indication it was cut with another oil, which I believe is rampant in the Black Seed Oil industry-the same way it is in the olive oil industry. Take it from someone who has used Black Seed Oil for 10 years and has tried every brand on the market-this is good stuff. If you are new to BSO I recommend buying this at least once so that you have a reference for how good BSO should taste-strongly of gasoline and burns your throat going down. I go through about one 16 oz bottle per month-about a scant tablespoon per day for me. This is strong medicine and it's good for quite a lot of chronic disorders. I can attest to its thyroid boosting properties as well as the effect it has on rheumatoid arthritis. I think anyone with an autoimmune disease should give BSO a shot-at least two months at 1 Tablespoon per day (I'm not a doctor, just a regular person struggling with arthritis and hashimoto's, so take my advice with a grain of salt.) Lastly, if you are new to BSO you should know going in that it's taste or maybe aftertaste is sort of how gasoline smells. Some reviews for BSO crack me up because the person says "this oil is rancid, I can taste the solvent." No. The "solvent" taste is just that good BSO flavor in high quality cold pressed BSO. Give it a try I say, worst that can happen (if you aren't outright allergic to it) is that you end up with a better cholesterol profile. I hope this review was helpful to someone out there, and I sincerely hope you try some BSO, it's one of my all time favorite natural products.
