I bought this UPT cable to connect a CCTV camera that was too far away from the main unit to connect wirelessly. I was a little concerned with this being unshielded because I knew the line would be crossing several 120v Romex lines in the attic. But there is no issue at all, the picture is crystal clear and steady. If you are using this in the vicinity of power lines it is recommended that you not run this parallel and adjacent to the power line, or electromagnetic interference (EMI) from the power line could cause data corruption. However, crossing them perpendicularly should not be an issue. If you know EMI will be an issue in your situation you should get shielded cable instead.
