I found myself in the market for a new hand mixer. After reading the reviews, including the negatives about it running too fast, I decided to purchase it. I have now been using it for several months. I do not understand the negatives about the speed. I use low speed to combine my ingredients and have never had a splash over. There also is no spatter when I increase the speed to high after initially combining my ingredients. When I am through mixing, I again turn the mixer to the lowest speed and gently lift the beaters to above the level of ingredients. Again, the excess batter stays in the bowl. I would definitely recommend this mixer. I am very pleased with it and would purchase it again in the future.
