Big power in a big device
So I just purchased and received the 2nd Gen Deluxe 22400mAh external battery pack and I would like to comment on a few things so far in the limited time I have had with it.
This battery pack is large. It is the largest one I have purchased and you can not really get a handle on how large this is unless you hold it for yourself. I took some pictures of this item next to some everyday items to give a visual on how big this battery is. I also weighed the battery pack because I did not believe the weight was 15.3 ounces so I took a picture of it on a scale in grams and it weighed in at 462 grams or 16.3 ounces so the weight was fairly accurate.
So far I do like the capacity of this battery. I had no problems using my own cables charging some items such as my Galaxy S4 phone on all three outputs. I would rather of seen a smart charger design that could increase or decrease the charge of the item that is plugged in but that would have increased the price so this design is fine for an emergency charger. I am excited to put this through its paces and see how much stuff I can charge with a full one of these as capacity and real world use does differ and loss of energy is a reality.
I do like that the identifying names of the items you should charge are embossed in the plastic (iPhone, Samsung Tab, iPad), however I would also of liked the corresponding amperage as well. The flashlight function is okay and I am sure in an emergency would be great but it is not that bright and it does not cast well because of its design and the different functions (Low, High, SOS) are great but I feel that the SOS is not needed especially on a very dim light and since Morse Code is not readily used by everyday people.
Only time will tell if this product lasts but for right now it works and it is powerful.

(Picture 2 is of the reviewed battery pack being weighed in grams.) (Picture 3 and 4 are of a similarly sized item that I could find, which is a Rite in the Rain All-Weather Travel Journal)
