Let me start off by saying, I have been playing for 4-5 years, self taught, and I consider myself an intermediate-advanced player. I play blues, metal, classic rock, as well as hard rock (Black Stone Cherry, etc.) I own a very beginner amp because I am so intelligent that I spent all my money on the guitars and very little on an amp- probably going to get a Line 6 or something. It shreds like a monster, yet croons beautifully- try playing Santana on this puppy. You'll be needing tissues. It works with all styles. Also, don't worry about damaging this thing. I whacked it real hard on accident and was afraid to look. Not a scratch. So let's go through the pro's and cons: Pros: Plays like a dream Durable Versatile Beautiful Cons: It's awful hard to fit a wedding ring on her. Wait, are you still reading? Well, stop it.
