Nice air conditioner for the price. However, this is definitely for small rooms. I have a small bedroom that this works perfectly for, getting it nice and cool within an hour on the highest setting. I then turn it to setting 5 on low cool and it keeps me comfortable all night. I also bought one of these for my slightly larger studio room and it takes quite a bit longer to cool, so just be aware of your room dimensions in regards to the BTU rating. As well, just a quick tip I've learned. If you leave this off and it rains, then turn it on, it WILL be noisy for a while. At first, I thought this was an issue with malfunctioning drainage, until I read online that modern air conditioners actually store some rainwater and use the fan to fling it across the coils to increase cooling efficiency. Just put it on hi-cool and after an hour of noisy operation, you'll have it back to normal operating noise levels.
