Four Stars because I like it, but 1 star for the major problem
Although, I like the bike and what it can do, let me list the pros n cons to make it simple. PROS Cheap in comparison to other electric bikes. Very reasonable speed and distance. My favorite...comfortable fit for a 6 ft 225 lb man (I don't like swinging my leg over the seat anymore at my age of 71). As a result I don't get aching wrist as I did on my 24" electric bike. Lots of farkles come with the bike like a light, horn, basket. Easy to assemble out of the box. CONS I'll start off with the simple ones. No instruction manual worth the paper it's printed on and no dealer listing. Bad one. Now for the really bad news and why I recommend you DON'T buy this bike at any price. To take the rear wheel off (as in my case of a flat within 1 hour) requires 1. That you have the time of 3 hours (that's what it took for a bike repair shop). 2. You have the tools because you are going to have to break a link in the chain. 3. Have a rack to do all of this on because you have flip the bike during the process to get at the control box to remove the wires. The dealer said he will never fix a flat tire on this bike ever again for any cost! But fortunately, in fixing the flat, I had him put a thicker tube and a liner between the tire and tube to prevent a flat. Had I known how difficult this was ( I have extensive car, motorcycle, aircraft background, but because I was so busy this week, I took it to a bike shop.), I NEVER would have bought this bike. And I recommend you don't either because of this problem. Finally, it amazes me that manufacturers don't actually ride the bike or fix a flat before offering this to the public. But because it's made in China, well, they probably think we are all fools. Sad to say we are.
