Better than a regular dremmel for pups, but they still have to tolerate it.
I like this product. It is better than a regular dremmel for pup toe nails.
Having said that, the beastie still needs to learn to tolerate the whole toe nail process.
The product is very easy to handle with one hand, except the speed control could be a little looser. I usually have to use two hands to turn on or accelerate the speed, which makes a surprise attack impossible.
My dog is still in the cajoling stage (treats), but is becoming more and more willing to accept the trimming experience. The rotary blade recommended speed is Level 1. I use Level 2. It's faster, and speed is an advantage. Just don't be too aggressive and quick the nail.
I find that the the rotary blade trims to a square shape which can still be painful if a pup likes to get your attention with her front paws. If you rock the toenail from side-to-side (or the rotary blade) you can get a nice bevel on the talons.
All in all this is a good product, but it's not a magic bullet. Training for the trimming experience is still required.
