Works perfectly.
Some things are just better without electronics involved, and my bathroom scale is one of them.
Consider this: To weigh yourself with a typical digital scale:
1. Step on the scale (to turn it on).
2. Step off of the scale (and wait for calibration to complete).
3. Step back on the scale and wait a few more seconds for it to find your weight. Some are finicky and will fail if you shift your weight, forcing you to start over.
However, to weigh yourself with a mechanical scale like this one:
1. Step on the scale.
2. Read the result.
3. Go about your day.
I chose this scale over a digital scale for the reasons outlined above. I chose it over other mechanical scales for the large window, large numbers, and the brand name.
