Another hit from Louise Penny
I've read every one of Louise Penny's Inspector Armand Gamache books a few times. They are so well written and I've enjoyed seeing the characters evolve. The writing is wonderful. The cases are well thought out, sometimes I can figure out where the story is going, sometimes not.
In this case, one of Inspector Gamache's "second chance" individuals is expelled from the Surete Academy. Meanwhile, Gamache, Myrna and a third person, whom no one knows are named as Litigators ( executers) of a will to a woman none of them know. And so the stor(ies) begin to unfold. What I enjoy too is that the characters lives go on, if you know what I mean. Marriages, children, retirement, new jobs, etc. It's never the same story over and over again. I read the book in just a few evenings because I made myself stretch it out! hahah You don't have to read them in order, but it's more fulfilling if you do. How I wish I could stop into Oliver's Bistro in Three Pines for some chocolate and croissants! If you are not already a fan of Louise Penny, stop depriving yourself. If you are a fan - don't miss this latest entry.
