I LOVED THIS SO MUCH THAT I ORDERED ANOTHER ONE TODAY!!! IT ACTUALLY HOLDS MORE THAN 160 SLOTS...VERY WELL MADE
I purchased this to keep the supplies I use for my adult coloring books organized. The description says this has 160 slots. Oh, not so! This is much better. So, to start, this is a book style organizer. The exterior I chose is pink, the interior is grey. Each interior page, if you will, is grey fabric/vinyl over a hard cardboard. Each section has it's own zipper which is nylon, well sewn, operates smoothly, & has a nice size pull. The slots in this organizer are all individual elasticized cloth slots. You won't need to try to fit multiple pencils or pens per slot. The first section has two 1" wide slots at the top which can hold a bullet or square sharpener or an eraser. The first elastic slot on that page that would hold an item the length of a pencil is capable of holding something the size of a marker. I placed my Prismacolor blender marker in that slot. I purchased this to hold my 150ct Prismacolor Premier pencil set. There are 14 pencil slots on the rest of the first page. Each of the next 7 pages holds 22 pencils or pens. So, while BTSKY lists this as a 160 slot colored pencil organizer, it actually has 168 standard slots, 1 larger slot, and 2 slots for square sharpeners or erasers. After I added my Prismacolor pencils to the case, I added 2 typewriter style erasers, a blender pencil, a burnishing pencil,a khol pencil, my pencil extenders that hold my colored pencils when they are too short to be held by hand, an automatic pencil, and a small pad of sandpaper that is made for use with colored pencils to the last page of this organizer. I even put in a small baggie so I can sharpen my pencils with my bullet sharpener right into the baggie without needing something larger to hold the shavings. With this organizer completely filled, I have not found the zippers to be put under any stress whatsoever. There is plenty of room for all my needs. My pencils are protected. My sister-in-la
w & I enjoy this hobby so we bring our paraphenalia with us when we visit. The men can watch tv and we chat while we color. I will be able to bring this out in the yard this summer to relax and color while outside w/o worrying about lugging things around awkwardly or losing things. I previously brought some of my coloring books & pencils on a trip but found it awkward to color on a plane. I can put this case behind the book I'm coloring in & it makes a perfect support for me. Of course, I am aware that it is a pencil organizer & treat it accordingly. But, I am able to lean on it enough to color quite comfortably. I did go to Prismacolor.com & printoff their color swatch. I prefer coloring it in myself so that I can shade each color from light to saturated. I then placed the pencils in the case in the same order they were in as the Prismacolor color chart except for the neon yellow, neon orange, & neon pink. I placed those with the yellows, oranges, or pinks. Otherwise, it makes it very easy to find the color I'm looking for. Also, because as your pencils get sharpened down, the color names & numbers are removed. But, by keeping them placed according to the Prismacolor chart, I know exactly what color I am using. I highly recommend the Cosmos Aluminum pencil holders for getting every bit possible out of your colored pencils, the Alvin Brass Bullet Sharpener which provides the sharpest point, and the Farber Castell Perfectioin 7058B eraser. If I remember the name of the other eraser that I've found to work wonders, I will update this review. I hope this wasn't too long. But, I just kept tripping onto some of these items by accident. If I can help another hobbyist with what I've found, I try to. Also, if you enjoy Johanna Basford's coloring books, take a peek at Hanna Karlzon's books. They are a bit expensive; but, quite worth it. I rely on the reviews of others when I am determining making a purchase online. Other than the seller's description & photos, the honesty of other buyers is all we have to go on. Therefore, I provide my 100% honest opinion of the product I a reviewing based on looks, quality, durability, and use. I have been using this for a couple of weeks so far. Should anything change, I will update this review. I would like you to know that I am so happy with this product that ordered another one in green today for my gel pen collection. I actually use quite a few mediums considering the fact that I am by no means a true artist. I love using gel pens & glitter glue pens when some of the pictures show gems in them. Anyway, I am including photos with my review. I should mention that this comes with a nice size wrist strap that has a lobster claw clasp. It allows you to carry this around your wrist leaving your hands free for other things. If you found this review helpful, I'd appreciate if if you'd click the button.
