Great box, wish it was even taller, but none on the market
This is the best litter box I can find. 1 star reduction because I wish it was 3-5" taller/deeper. I had made my own litter box out of a plastic storage bin that was tall enough but, there are some drawbacks.
This litter box is my favorite for the following reasons:
-Truly high-sided. Yes, I wish it was taller, but to my knowledge, it's the tallest you can get without being a covered litter box (my cats prefer open air) AND it's one piece so there's no seam to get stuff stuck in.
-no grooves and and the corners are rounded. This means you get a nice, smooth scooping experience. I HATE when litter gets stuck in the dips and grooves of other litter boxes (that was also an issue with my homemade box).
-the entrance of the box is the same height of the rest of the box except the spot where they walk in. This is a huge plus over other boxes that get lower in the front. One big reason I'm not using one of those triangular boxes. My cats have their favorite corners and like to see how high they can pee (apparently).
-carrying handles. Just a nice touch.
[Photo explanation] One of my cats favors the back left corner and he's the one who tests the limits. So, my fix for that was to cut up a plastic placement (sorry dog...) and tape it to that area. It does get kind of gross, but I don't know what else to do. Maybe I'll use duct tape next.
You do have to tape it to the inside of the box or else pee will run down the seam and the outside.
2 other tips:
-this box is way cheaper here on Amazon than in the stores ($11 vs $22)
-I found a slightly rounded scooper that's made for some other round litter box. It works with this box really well. Like $13, but so worth it.
I own 2 of these litter boxes so far for my 4 cats.
