Common problems and quick fixes.
I would like to explain something for a lot of people on here. Most of the complaints on this item are about either it is not holding a charge or the cord was pulled out too far. Inside the manual it says in bold to not pull the cord longer than 30 inches because it can break and lock into the pulled position. As for the battery life it says in the manual to charge for 24 hours on the very first charge and I believe everyone on here did that. There is a problem with this though, because it is a rechargeable battery which means it has a maximum capacity limit. Inside the manual it does say the unit may come with some charge and mine did. After charging my unit for 20 minutes the red led had changed to green indicating max capacity. My guess is they give you the 24 hour estimate in case your unit comes completely dead. If your unit finishes charging after 20 minutes and you keep pumping a charge into the battery for another 23 hours and 40 minutes you will lose quite a lot of capacity out of your battery. As a general rule the more you charge the less you get. Also charging a unit and not finishing the charge before use has the same affect; as well as charging a unit before a charge is needed. My guess is that this is not a common knowledge thing for most people I sell electronics so I understand how these batteries work. If you take care of the unit and you only charge until the light is green especially on the first charge, and drain it as close to dead as you can before you recharge, then your battery will not have a problem holding a charge down the road. As for my review I feel this is a great item to have. No, it is not a durable metal build, and no, it's not an American made product, but the fact is this is something that will cost you next to nothing for what it can do. Compared to the alternative of buying a gas powered you are saving a lot of money (add bonus of no fuel required). This item is very mobile and light weight great for using in your car or home. To end my review I would just like to say that this item should be treated properly in order to maintain usage. This can be a vital piece of equipment considering the options it has available to you. Searching around the only alternatives I have seen to give you manual powered AC power consists of you continuously pumping the charge with your hands and once you stop the power stops. With this great little tool your efforts get stored in the battery which can be used later on. A great tool to have in any scenario where you need power.
