Your Feet Will Never Be Happier
If you have never worn Chacos before, I cannot recommend enough that you try a few different sizes and styles before deciding on one. The difference between the Z/2 and ZX/2 is like night and day. I initially ordered a pair of ZX/2 sandals and, quite frankly, I don't know how my big toes are still attached. It was like all of the tension in the double-straps was isolated to the toe loops, no matter how much I adjusted them. No bueno. I figured it would be the same with the Z/2 toe loop, but decided to give them a try anyhow. Ermahgerd. That is how a toe loop should feel. The single-strap toe loop provides your feet with a bit more stability than the original (toe loopless) Z/1 model without strangling your toes like the ZX/2 model. One last tidbit I picked up from a friendly REI associate - if you wear a size 6W, you can wear a size 3 kids and save yourself some $$$! The kids' sandals have a bit less arch support (which is great if the arch support in the adult version is a little too supportive), run a little wider, AND they are made of the same material as the "Cloud" sandals!
