D-moose has the sturdiest gear for the gym i can find. The belt itself is very very sturdy. The chains are steel and were rattling in the package. I was excited hearing it like a kid on Christmas. This isn't my first d-moose product so i bought this with confidence knowing it would be what i expected. The best. I did own a pair of ankle straps but i ruined them myself. Take care of your gear and it will do you right
