Superior to the DataVac ED500 Duster
Having tested both this unit and the DataVac duster, I can conclude that this unit is better. The problem with the DataVac is that it's housing is made of metal which gets extremely hot, and also the housing is made of two pieces and is joined together near the center of the unit. This is an inherent design flaw which causes air to blow through the housing while in operation, reducing the total effective blowing power of the unit. Some units are worse than others.
This Airrow duster however doesn't have that same problem, it's housing is constructed out of high quality ABS plastic (the same that football helmets use) and is actually slightly more powerful, even without taking into account the fixed design flaw compared to the DataVac.
Neither blower is a replacement for fine dusting of computer components, such as deep embedded dust in heatsinks. I don't think anything will be as good as compressed air in that regard. However, it will do a decent job of dusting away loose dust in your computer case, and dust on fans though.
If you are considering the DataVac ED500, get this one instead.
