So, I've been on the search for a heating pad to replace the one we've had for 20+ years that's just become a hazard at this point. Not going to lie, I was disappointed when I used this for the first time and it was barely warm on the highest setting. LUCKILY I came across a random review while searching for another heating pad planning to return this one. The review said that it can takes bit to break in a new pad and to give it a few uses before it reaches the temps that are advertised. So far, I've used this one 4-5 times and each time the highest setting gets hotter and closer to the temp I'm looking for. So in my opinion, if it's your first time using this product and it doesn't get hot enough for you, try it out consistently for a week or so before you make your decision to return or keep. Might save you some trouble because this was the 2nd heating pad I purchased on Amazon after it just not getting hot enough. I was assuming it would heat fully during the first use but that's not the case. They seem to need multiple uses to reach the higher heat settings that are promised. After realizing this, I'm in love with this product. I also bought a weighted cover that fits fantastic because I get more relief with a bit of weight added. Hopefully that helps someone else out there.
