Cleaning cat litter is always going to kind of stink, but this is the best litter I have ever used and I have been a cat owner for more than 20 years. It does not clump, it also barely tracks, and what my cat does kick out of his litter box is easy to sweep up--it doesn't travel far and doesn't leave behind sandy residue. The pellets are larger than the ones in Yesterday's News, and they have baking soda built into them, so they fight odor for longer. Non-clumping litters are safer for cat health as well, as cats are less likely to ingest any when cleaning themselves. I don't have a car and don't live in a very commercial neighborhood, so being able to get litter delivered to my house is really convenient :) I only change out my cat's litter once a week or so and we never have odor issues. I've been through many many litter routines and tried many, many products and types of litter, and this is what I've settled on as both the cheapest and the most cost-effective routine: I use a regular, large rectangular litter box, uncovered. Before adding litter, I line the clean litter box with a small puppy pad. It wicks liquid and absorbs it before it can really soak through the pellets. I add about 3 inches of pellets to the litter box. Each day, I scoop out the solid waste (I used to use a litter genie, But now i just shake the pellets loose and flush the poos) Every week or so (basically right when the litter starts to smell) I dump everything, including the pee pad, into a garbage bag and give the litter box itself a quick clean with a paper towel and disinfectant spray. Line it with a new puppy pad, refill, and we are good for another week-10 days. Hope this was helpful.
