UPDATED: FIRE TV TEAM CALLED and fixed!
Wish I could write. Better review. When it works it’s grear. Takes a long time to wake up after a night of no use. Lot of buffering and Hulu and Netflix often don’t work among others. The stick actually is more reliable. Also has trouble identifying if it’s on HDC02 for 4K. Thus far dissapoibted despite the fact that it has Spotify app which Roku does not. I liked the idea of Alexa being used but hooping all this clears up wheb I get the modem adapter which for some bizarre reason is sold sepeeratley and takes a month to arrive. So far this is not comparable to
Roku in any level. The fire stick is 10 times better than the Fire tv. Here is me waiting for Hulu for over 5 min.
UPDATE: Was just called by AMAZON FIRE Team - when I'm home from work they want to trouble-shoot with me SO - maybe this can be fixed which I would LOVE.
Update 3.25.18
Amazon tech saw the review and called me. Trouble shot the issues and within 10 minutes had things working fine. Unplugging the unit solved at least half of the problems and they have not returned since. And I have now been able to really explore fire TV and it’s a fantastic item. The 4K issue has not come up again either and it plays beautifully and seamlessly and I don’t even have it plugged in to my Internet yet I am just using Wi-Fi There are many differences between this and Roku and having used a lot of stuff including Apple TV I believe Amazon fire or Roku are the only two options in terms of streaming devices and in my next review I will go through more specifically what I like about fire TV as compared to Roku and with the main differences are but I wanted to at least get a review up to let people know Amazon cared and fixed the problem
