This is a great chess set. A nice wooden board, wooden pieces, the magnets work well without being too strong, yet hold if you bend the board, they hang on. I would describe the magnetic hold as a "perfect" blend of strong enough to hold, but does not hinder your natural movement at all. The felt on the bottom is nice as well, soft, smooth, good quality. And I like the feel of the chess pieces in hand. This is a nice, quality chess set. There are some other "similar", okay, almost identical chess sets here on Amazon, but this is the one you want. The other one has straps for your chess pieces instead of a mold like this one. If you have ever had those straps before, you know they will eventually snap or come out, this mold will be good for the life of the chess set. Now, to describe the pics I attached. I had only 1 piece that was cracked. As you can see, that knight's nose is about to fall off. It wouldn't be long before it would break. I emailed customer support describing my issue and I attached the two pics with the flaw shown. I emailed them on Monday at 10:55 am, they responded back Tuesday at 6:44 am confirming my shipping address, I responded back 4 mins later. Then, Wednesday at 9:15 pm, they emailed me letting me know I would receive the replacement the upcoming Tuesday, but no, it got here only 2 days later on Friday, whoa, nice! And here comes the mind-blowing part, they sent an ENTIRE set of replacement pieces for BOTH colors in a box with nice pouches....whaaaat!?! :o I will admit, I had a rook that had a "tiny" bit of glue on it, and a king that had one little ball of stain that built up, but I'm OCD, and I didn't want to ask them to replace those just because I'm OCD, but of course, the knight had the legitimate flaw with the crack, but they must have read my mind and then STILL went ABOVE and BEYOND what I would've requested! I mean, I only emailed them about the one piece, and to send this whole pieces replacement set, WOW! Kudos to you Amerous support!!! And thank you Angel for the fast emails! Thank you Amerous for DEFINITELY standing behind your product with customer service! I HIGHLY recommend this chess set!
