Good quality foam
People who complain or show pictures of flat foam didn’t read the instructions. It comes vacuumed sealed. You need to soak it in water (I ran my through my washer’s rinse cycle) and then put in the dryer. The instructions said 20-25 minutes on medium heat but I needed to do about an hour before they were dry.
The foam expands perfectly and is super good quality. I cheaped out the first time I tried sound dampening and got stiff foam that didn’t look good. This is consistent, dense, and looks really sharp.
I used normal spray adhesive right against the wall. If you’re concerned about damaging paint or walls, you could put contact paper on the way first and glue the foam to that so it’s easier to come off. Or use command strips but that’s more expensive
