I have never been a big fan of electric pans. Over the years I have used some but not a lot. I got this pan because I have an old range and some of the burners no longer work. I must say I had my doubts purchasing this. I got the pan and opened it up and the instruction manual was missing. No problem. I called Presto and they gave me a web page to download it as well as sending me a manual. Their customer service was awesome to say the least. They went over EVERY part of the manual with me giving me cautions and instructions for cleaning and all the rest. I must say I was very impressed with their personal touch. well I washed it, plugged it in and figured id give it a shot with a dish that takes a lot of care so it doesn't burn...stove top lasagna. WOW! I have never made it this easy before. This pan works like a dream and clean up was so simple I couldn't believe all the scrubbing I have done over the years when I made this dish. I kid you not...no soaking...no scrubbing. Just one swipe and I was done. I have used this pan just about everyday now and I couldn't be happier. It seems to cook even and very little oil is needed, if any at all. Everything from grilled cheese to steaks. even made mac and cheese. This is a wonderful product. Keep in mind I have not used this type of pan very much before so there may be others just as good or better, but this one is tops in my book. Recommend it? You bet, try and stop me.
