Like others, I purchased this item for low-impact knee exercise. It's solidly made, not overly heavy but definitely stable, and is certainly better than NO movement. I imagine it gets synovial fluid into the joints, which is good, but the range of motion is very small, even if you put it as far away from your body as you can. It arrived assembled and extremely well-packaged to prevent damage to the item; however, the monitor isn't working. I'm assuming the battery needs replacing but there is no instruction in the manual on how to remove the monitor to replace the battery behind it. There is a remarkable diagram showing every single nut and bolt in the machine (very confusing to anyone except a mechanic or engineer). It's an impressive array of parts. Clearly a lot of effort went into the design. But for users like me, a simple diagram on how to open the thing up and replace the battery would have been a lot more useful. Still, seems like a solid little product and a great deal for the price.
