These are amazing shoes! I am loving them so much! I've been wanting a pair of over the knees for awhile and I searched for a long time to find the right pair and eventually decided on these ones and I'm so glad I did. I really like the gathered/Slouchy look. The ties in the back are actually functioning. You can loosen it up a bit which is helpful for sitting down/bending your knees. The zipper goes the length ofor the shoe. So no trying to shove your foot in the top and zip up just the bit by the ankle. The buckle is also very nice looking. I've gotten shoes before where the buckle made the shoe look cheap but it really adds to these. There is fur lining in shoe! By far my favorite part of these. Perfect for Michigan winters, great for layering socks! The shoe are pretty tight, so if you're looking for a loose look these may not be it, but personally I like shoes to be more slim. I have medium sized calves and these are pretty tight against them wearing jeans and tall socks. If you have larger calves it could be uncomfortable for layering. They are looser around the knee though. The soles are flat with very small lift for the heel which adds to the slim profile of the shoe. So many other over the knee had thick combat style soles and that's not really my style so I was quite happy to find these. I was a bit wary about the color (I ordered brown) but when they got here the color was much darker than I thought they'd be. More of a chocolate color. The picture isn't really true to color, but I like it. Very happy with my purchase!
