We do not go camping. My mother does not go camping. So, why do we each have a camp stove and multiple bottles of butane fuel? Because we both live in areas where the power goes out if it snows, if it rains, if a butterfly lands on the electric lines ... things like that. Mom uses her camp stove to heat water for coffee. I use mine to cook both during power outages and when preparing large meals and need the extra burner or want to keep something warm at the table. I've used these for years without problem. However, I do recommend that you remove the container from the stove when not in use. If the gas canister is engaged, the butane may leak out and you'll wind up with an empty cansiter when you think you have a full one.
