So Far So Good
I had to take my 2 rat terriers to the vet once a month (sometimes more) for anal gland expression. I've researched so many remedies and changed their diets with no lasting results. I would buy cans of organic pumpkin to put into their food, but they wouldn't eat it at all. So I ordered the No Scoot Plus vitamins, thinking "If it doesn't work, it will just be one more thing we've tried." But I'm happy to say...so far so good! This is our second month using No Scoot and the dogs have never been better. Being the hovering doggy-mom that I am, I took them to the vet just to make sure that their anal glands were ok even though the dogs displayed no symptoms of discomfort. The vet said there's not much to express in either dog. :) We're all happy here! I'll update again in a few months. Hopefully, it continues to work for us. UPDATE: Feb. 18, 2017 It's still working for us 10 months since our original purchase. I haven't had to take my ratties to the vet for anal gland expression since they've been taking the No Scoot Plus. They actually like it and come running when I shake the box. UPDATE: July 5, 2017 Here we are nearly a year and a half later and the No Scoot Plus is still working for us. There are a few things I've learned. I have 2 dogs. The oldest dog does not have chronic anal gland issues - just an occasional scoot on the carpet. When a vitamin is given to her daily, she gets ill and I have to reduce or eliminate fiber from her diet for a few days. Now, I give her half a vitamin a few times a week. My younger dog suffers chronic anal gland issues, which is significantly helped by No Scoot Plus. She has gets half a vitamin every single day (she's 10 pounds). I'm happy to say the vet hasn't had to express their glands since we've started using this product. The only thing is that now, it seems it can only be purchased as an add-on item on Amazon. :( I may have to start purchasing from a pet store or some other way.
