It's a fine carafe. Works well. But - the little bump out at the front contains a magnet that tells the machine that a carafe is inserted, and it won't make coffee unless you use the special K Carafe coffee pods. So I turned it over, unscrewed the magnet holder (with a tiny star bit) and remvoed the magnet. Now I can use the refillable K Cups and save a little money!
