I bought this product after reading about Diatomaceous Earth online. I use this product specifically for natural health and wellness, and it has lived up to it's "hype" considerably. Diatomaceous Earth is touted highly for its benefits in gut health, ridding the body of toxins, fungi, parasites, bad bacteria, wastes, etc. The Nature's Wisdom brand is the ONLY one I buy because I want to ensure (a) I am purchasing food-grade DE, (b) the company is well-known and reputable, and (c) I know that my product comes in a container that is tamper-proof. This specific item meets all of my requirements and I recommend it to all of my acquaintances that are interested in trying DE. For use, I take one teaspoon of Nature's Wisdom DE daily. The DE itself is highly ground, milled down to an almost fine powder. (Think baby powder consistency.) I would NOT recommend inhaling this powder for safety reasons-although it is virtually odorless, fragrance-free. To ingest it, I just scoop my 1 teaspoon into 1/4 cup of water, stir gently, and drink it down. It is recommend to take the DE on an empty stomach daily but I prefer taking mine at night, after my dinner has digested. Diatomaceous Earth DOES NOT prompt bowel movements like Senna, but it does help ones stools to be less liquid and more solid. This is evidence of the DE removing toxin and buildup in the gut area. I have been using Nature's Wisdom DE for several weeks now and have noticed a huge difference in my wellness. No weird side effects or aversive reactions. My skin is clearer, bowel movements are healthier, and this is coming from someone diagnosed with Leaky Gut Syndrome and autoimmunity conditions. I would highly recommend this product.
