I always plant about 500 onion seeds on the 1st of January, around late april I can plant about 400 seedlings. To make all this possible, I've always used heat mats. This year I needed two more, went to my hydroponic guy, wanted $27 for one, but sold out, CHecked with LOWES, they wanted $25, but since it is out of season (to Lowes), did not have any at their stores. Luckily my wife rememded me that we have Amazon prime, why not check with Amazon. Lo and behold, they had the mats, and the price knocked me over , less than $12 each! Ordered three on the spot, they work beautifully and the price is awsome.
