I just received this book today. I couldn't wait to read through it. I havent embroidered since I was a child. My mother taught me when she would transfer designs on to flour sacks and pillow cases. I can still go through her towel drawer and see those beautiful flour sack towels. Finding this book has rekindled my love for needles and threads. All color photos with easy to follow steps, labled suggestions for fabric, thread, and Easy to Advanced stitches. Simple introduction with information on "Materials, tools and techniques." You can flip through the pictures and it will have the page # to find it. Makes it simple for me to go to without having to remember the name of the stitch. The index is also well informative. I love that I will be able to use this book and it will not end up on my shelves as a one page reference. Excellent for both the beginner and advanced sewing skills. I was so disappointed in the other 2 books I purchased, I was hesitating purchasing another. This is by far the best book for my needlework!
