Don't accidentally abuse your dog; check out some dog training videos before using a shock collar. It is highly dependent on the user's knowledge of training and patience, but the collar works just as you would expect it to. It has a beeper, rumble, and shock function that can be used to better train your dog. I paired the beep (sound) function with a treat at a 1 to 1 ratio until my dog started returning to me with each beep. Now he always comes when beeped. I only use the shock function when my dog is actively barking aggressively or bolts away. Customer service is excellent.
