Relief for feet & knees
I’ve been trying this mat out for a week and think it’s time to write a review. This mat is the perfect size for the corner of my kitchen, at my kitchen sink. I’ve really been wanting something that will provide a little cushion and help relieve foot and knee pain while standing at the sink. Unfortunately, food prep and dishes never stop coming, so this is a good investment. I’ve tried to find other cushioned floor mats in the past but encountered two major issues: 1. They are too thick or too soft! No joke here people, as I am a klutz and will catch my foot on mats that are too cushioned or too thick. 2. Most mats are too large for my area. I like the mat to be just the right size for the area I am using it in. I do not want it to partially encroach in to another area (for example: my stove is just next to the sink and I would not want it to cover just a portion of that area). Again, I need a consistent surface depending on where I am working, in order not to trip myself, because I am a klutz! This mat came rolled and had some creases when unrolled, but they disappear quickly once laid out. It also smells of new plastic when opened, but that smell disappeared quickly. I like the design and grey color of the mat, as it goes with everything and the white design draws the eye, so that you don’t forget you are stepping on a different type of surface and lose your balance (again, me=klutz). I have a robot vacuum that has no problem going over the mat, nor does it leave any scuffs or scrapes. The mat also wipes clean easily when something drips on to it. I will try my steam mop on the mat next time I have it out to see if it can handle heat. All in all, this is an ideal mat for me and I’m glad I made the purchase.
