I purchased the 6 month with free Kindle Fire offer. The promotion advertised that you wouldn't get the promo code for the Kindle Fire for 8 days, so I waited and waited... and didn't see anything. I e-mailed Texture and had a great customer service experience - very courteous and prompt response. I got my promo code, got my Kindle Fire, and have been enjoying lots of magazines. One neat aspect of Texture is that you get a few different ways to browse your reading material. You have a library of personally selected magazines that interest you, a way to view magazines by category, and a "Highlights" section. The "Highlights" section has selected articles of interest from their entire catalog of magazines. I've really enjoyed browsing the articles they've highlighted. They also send lots of e-mails with interesting recommendations of what to read (you can unsubscribe if you have e-mail overwhelm!). I read lots of reviews before buying and bought this with a lot of trepidation, but my experience has been entirely positive. One possible reason - I went to texture's website (not Amazon) for help when I thought I wasn't going to get my free Fire. I think Amazon is just facilitating payments. If you need customer service, go thru Texture and not Amazon. I've had no problems with the app - it works great.
