I agree with the prevailing reports on here: This is a high quality drip coffee maker that produces consistent cups at an appropriate temperature. Does its coffee taste as good as the most carefully crafted pour-over? No, not in my opinion. But does it taste better than what comes out of your standard issue coffee maker? Absolutely. The design is striking but not obtrusive. The machine is a bit larger and taller than I would have guessed from looking at photos. It fits under my cabinets, but not while the top is open. However the elements of the machine all fit together nicely and form a coherent picture. Reviewers have mentioned that the tank fogs up when left alone during the day. That is true, but there's an easy fix: Leave the lid propped open just a bit (I use the measuring spoon that came with the machine) and the fog will dissipate. You'll want to keep the tank clean and periodically use a descaling agent, but nothing out of the ordinary. There have also been some complaints that the coffee doesn't stay hot for long enough. Personally I really disagree with that. I've left coffee in the carafe for hours and found it at a perfect temperature when I poured it. Full disclosure: I'm not someone who wants his coffee as hot as possible. If you are, you might differ with me on this point. All in all, a solid product that brews a good cup of coffee. It won't change your personal relationship with the beverage, but you'll almost certainly be glad you got one.
