It's Complicated
I googled and googled and couldn't find a review of the Curl Secret of anyone with my hair type. So I decided to give it a shot myself. This is for anyone who walks into a hair salon with an explanation that typically starts off with "It's complicated," before you even bother to sit in the stylist's chair and waste their time and yours. (And your money.) Allow me to explain. My hair is long, super thick, and naturally curly. It's GIGANTIC when I go natural. Enormous and difficult to manage on a daily basis. So I usually wear it straight with a slight curl. I use a Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium set on 40 to straighten it and a Hot Tools curler with a marcel grip to curl. (Yes, it takes forever.) When I saw the Curl Secret, I laughed to myself and rolled my eyes in contempt. Nice product. If your hair is not like mine. I wanted to give Miracurl a try, but I'm not dropping $300 plus on something that may or may not work. I received the Curl Secret as a gift. I didn't buy it because I figured it wouldn't get hot enough, blah, blah, blah. (I assumed it was your average piece of hair garbage.) Tried it for the first time today. And I'm stunned that it worked as well as it did. Could it be hotter and use a few extra seconds for my hair? Sure. But overall, I was incredibly impressed. And that is extremely rare when it comes to any hair product. I ABHOR selfies. (Props to those who have mastered the art of selfie.) But no one was around to take before/after photos. So yeah. Curl Secret. I'm shocked. Pleasantly I might add. Took a while to get the hang of it. But it may be worth it once I get the process down. Hope this helped anyone whose hair story usually begins with, "It's complicated."
