Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

First, I didn't experience any of the major problems the past negative reviewers did. I have a feeling the company has fixed any past issues of incorrect parts or stuff not fitting together. My cabinet assembled fine. It uses camlocks and such much like an Ikea item. Overall sturdiness seems pretty good. One review complains "it is not wood"... it is made of MDF which is accurately noted in the description as engineered wood. I think pretty much any cabinet at this price point that you assemble at yourself is going to be made of MDF. For pics of this cabinet to get a sense of color and size, take a look at the "Customer Images" I uploaded. You may need to select the red cabinet on the Amazon page before they will appear...I don't think my images appear when a different color is selected. Regarding the dimensions, I think there is some confusion because the top piece over hangs a little on the front and sides (but is flush in the back). So, there is a difference between the top piece dimensions and the rest of the cabinet. Below are exact measurements for both: Top piece: 22 7/8 x 12 1/4 Main cabinet: 21 3/8 x 11 3/8 MINOR ISSUES: A majority of assembly just requires a phillips screwdriver and is easy. However, I did have to take out my drill with the smallest bit because there were no pilot holes to screw on the thin back piece (the thin back piece has holes, but the cabinet wood you screw into did not). Also, one of the magnetic latches that holds the cabinet doors shut was placed too far forward using the pilot holes provided, so I just drilled new ones and it set it back about 3/4", no big deal at all. 1 out of 52 little black screws used to attach the hinges had a defective phillips slots and was unusable...I emailed the company and they responded within a few hours to say a replacement has been processed. There are a couple very small nicks in the red paint, but nothing really bothersome. As noted by other reviewers, the red color is more cranberry than the cherry red pictured (see "Customer Images"). But overall, I am very happy with this cabinet because it fit my space perfectly and overall meets my expectations at a good price.
