These cups are great apart from one key issue; over time they get sticky! I bought this for my grandmother because regular cups are too large for her to handle with her arthritis. This cup has been a game changer. But like many other people, I noticed after a few washes that the cup developed a sticky coating on the outside. No one seems to know why this happens. Because it's otherwise a perfect cup I really didn't want to send it back. The solution: Rub a few tablespoons of vegetable oil on the outside of the cup. Then, with the scrubby part of a sponge, gently scrub the outside for a few minutes. Wash with dish soap in cold water and dry with a towel. The stickiness should be gone.
