This is the second time we have purchased this same kit and in both cases we had a blast. How we used the kit: We washed the new 100% cotton shirts and left them damp while we folded and rubber banded each. Then we mixed the dye and applied. We placed each shirt in its own gallon sized Ziploc bag and set it out first in the sun until dark and then inside in the laundry room still in the baggies. The next morning we rinsed each banded shirt until the water ran clear, before soaking the shirts in a large bucket with several cups of white vinegar added to cold water. 30 minutes after the vinegar soak I washed the shirts in the machine on delicate with color safe detergent and they came out beautifully! We added no soda ash or other steps. I highly recommend this product! Attaching a photo collage of our shirts and tanks which were made using 2 separate kits on 2 different occasions. :)
