Super expensive shampoos that my “stylists” recommended for years
I have had issues with dandruff/dry scalp my entire life. I was called “snowflake” way before it meant I wasn’t “Republican” enough. When I was a kid, I was able to “make it snow” by quickly scratching my scalp. I tried all manner of things, including a douse of baby oil every morning. A shake of apple cider vinegar. A rub of tea tree oils. Super expensive shampoos that my “stylists” recommended for years.
This is my hair since switching to a shampoo bar. I honestly only ever considered this as a way to cut my travel weight down. I never considered that this would be a cure for my dandruff. I accepted a long time ago that I couldn’t wear darker colors or manage a meeting without scratching my scalp. This shampoo bar has changed my mind and hair completely. While I don’t use conditioner, my hair is a different kind of soft. It’s hard to explain, but it’s soft and dry at the same time, without all the dry flakiness that I usually have. It’s more of a soft, dry, clean feeling.
The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. It literally took 3 days before I realized that the flakes were gone. I wasn’t even expecting it. That I wasn’t scratching so much. That I didn’t have a bunch of spots on a dark shirt. The absolute last thing I would’ve done before this shampoo is share a picture of my hair. But now, I can do my best to show my roots without a care in the world. Not a single flake after a month using the Jojoba/Peppermint bar. I’ve used it every day for a month and still have a month at least. One of these bars lasts a good long time, so definitely worth the $5 to give it a go.
