I absolutely love my boots. I wear a size 10 and I have wide feet and a wider calf. I did have to adjust the laces in the back for them to fit properly but that's what they are there for. FINALLY I found a boot that fits my feet and my legs. now just to be honest, yes these fit wider calves but if you have really large calves over 17 1/2 in circumference these probably wont fit you. Also another detail that no one has mentioned, these boots fit pretty well around the ankles so if you have big ankles I wouldn't recommend these boots also yes there is a smell to them but not as bad as everyone is saying they are. These boots also rest about 1 1/2 under the knee. I will be buying more in other colors. hope my review helps other people
