EDIT almost 4 years later (2016), still in good shape, and the back of my car is perfect and NO AWFUL DOG smell, still a good item. I really wanted this item to protect my newly purchased (used) car which was in immaculate condition. My two Siberian Huskies all but ruined my old car's cargo area and after hours of research, this seemed like the best solution out there. I was wary of the reviews that talked about the Velcro failing. So I put some brain cells on it and was able to come up with a work around that may or may not work for all cars, but if it works for yours, you will be SO GLAD!! 1. First thing to do, is MEASURE your cargo area and compare it to the measurements given on the product description. It is a "Universal" fit, but may or may not work well for Huge or Tiny cargo areas. So be smart and measure. I have a "mid-size" SUV and it fits mine perfectly with room to spare, but not so huge that it was overwhelming. If you think it'll fit your car read on for the next step on how to make it work without Velcro. 2. Let's face it, the Velcro will not hold. After reading all the reviews, I didn't even bother to try. But what I was able to do and you may be able to as well, is to see if your car's cargo area has any other hook or some such thing that you can fasten the cargo cover on to. We were lucky we did find four (two on each side) hook type things that we felt would work, and then we went out and bought a $4 grommet kit at Wal-Mart and set some grommet holes into the cargo cover lined up with those hook areas. Then we used $2 Wal-Mart carabineers to affix it to one area, and shoe laces (LOL) to affix it to the other where the carbineers were to thick to fit into the hooks. This low cost solution has SAVED my car. The grommets went into the fabric EASILY, and the carbineers and shoelaces allow relatively easy in and out of the cargo cover too, so when I want to remove the cargo cover it comes out easily and goes back in easily, with very little hassle. I have never regretted this purchase and in fact think it is one of the best things I have ever bought. Others have posted about the quality of the fabric, and I agree with all the good reviews, this is the best solution out there. My best advice is, if you have a chance to make it work somehow, it will be well worth it for you to protect your car! I will post pics if anyone requests. Happy Shopping!
