I'll be honest; I haven't really been a Paula Deen fan mainly because of the high-fat content of her recipes, but admire her talents. I ordered this cookbook as a show of support for her because I despise bullying & non-forgiving zealots who have "ganged up" on her for her poor selection of verbiage YEARS AGO when perhaps more sensitivity might have been used. I also despise "political correctness", which makes all of us potentially impotent when it comes to being ourselves. As a fellow Southerner & native South Carolinian, I want readers to know that the "N" word was never allowed in our house or in our vocabulary anywhere, because we were taught to respect other human beings, no matter what color, so not all Southerners are alike! I find it appalling that Paula Deen's sponsors would drop her like a used handkerchief, & hope that she uses this time to become even stronger in her character. "Let him/her who is without blemish cast the first stone!" And, by the way, I'm boycotting her sponsors, whom I consider to be unforgiving, "politically correct" bullying cowards......
