Very well produced, and excellent companion to Thomas's book
As the title says, it's in his own words - it's almost entirely him speaking, no narration.
The drone and boat footage was well edited as well, since Pin Point is hard to understand/picture based on his book or what the place looks like today.
The film makes an excellent companion to the book, because you just can't grasp a lot of it through photos and the written word.
Interesting trivia - at 1:52:17, that photo, it looks to me, was taken at The Point in Harper's Ferry, WV where Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland meet.
Also interesting trivia, his Senate Confirmation was 52 Yea, 48 No. This meant that 11 Democrats crossed the aisle and voted yea, while 2 Republicans crossed and voted no. (The party breakdown was 57D/43R at the time.) One of the Republicans that voted against Thomas, Robert Packwood of Oregon, resigned from the Senate, under threat of expulsion, due to allegations of sexual assault. Read about that one, it's a wild story. The confirmation was in '91, the Washington Post revealed the story in '92. One wonders what was known when, and by whom.
Thomas chose to rise above it and not do too much revealing of conjecture in his book, but others have noted that the confirmation process had more than a hint of blackmail against several Senators.
Also, who was the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman? A guy from Delaware named Joe Biden.
