Worth every penny! I had my eye on this dress for a while and finally decided to take a chance on it even though it's more money than I usually spend on myself. I look absolutely nothing like a slim Asian model, so I worried that this dress would make me look like I was either pregnant or wearing a tent, but my husband assured me that neither of those things was true. I wore it with leggings and ankle boots and a thin cami on a breezy 50 degree day of shopping, and I was perfectly comfortable whether outside walking or inside heated shops. The layers of knitted and woven material block the wind but the loose swing of the dress allows for air flow. The pockets are darling and functional, and the ruffled skirt is precious without being childish. The stand-up neckline is soft, and the empire waist seam has a downward curve to it that gives a suggestion of a waistline even though the dress isn't at all fitted, which I think is what really makes the dress work. I'm 5'4" and 190, for reference. I ordered an XXL and I'm happy with the size, though I suspect I could have gotten away with an XL too, because the cut is extremely forgiving. I think this may be one of those unicorn-rare dresses that really would work both as a regular dress and as a maternity dress, at least through 2nd trimester, though the underdress is woven and has no stretch so at a certain point it would be constricting over a belly. I seriously recommend trying this dress if it appeals to you.
