Listed width dimension is much bigger than actual size!
TLDR; For someone looking for an insulated metal water bottle, these are really great. Comfortable to carry, water stays very cold in high heat. Cap can be a little finicky, but not a deal breaker. Beware that Camelbak lists an incorrect width dimension of 3.7 inches, when in reality it is more like 3.25 inches. I really like these bottles. They keep the liquid cold for very long periods, even after being left in the car during 100 degree days! Great for those long days running errands. I attached a picture of the spout, and it may be hard to see but it has just a little bit of tilt on it, which makes it more comfortable to drink from than a straight spout on something like a Takeya, which I also own. The chute that I received has the new magnetic lid on it. I do like that the lid gets held back out of my face automatically when I'm drinking (especially when the fluid level is lower), but it does seem like the cap is harder to remove than the cap on the non-magnetic lid, which I also own. (I use a lot of these insulated water bottles!) I'm hoping that I will get used to it, but I have owned this bottle for just over a month and it hasn't happened yet. It also seems like it takes more turns to remove/replace the cap than the non-magnetic version. And since it's not that big of a deal for me to hold the cap back with a finger while I'm drinking, I actually prefer the old non-magnetic version. Unfortunately, those caps will probably be phased out. Bummer. The handle is just a little bit rubbery feeling, which makes it easier to hold, but I could use just a little more cushion there. Since my bottle is 32oz and when full, it can be a bit heavy, I think that carrying it for a long period while walking would probably start to hurt. Though I have to admit, I haven't actually tested that yet! The only actual real issue that I have with the bottle is the width dimension. There were some discrepancies here on Amazon so I went with what was listed on the Camelbak website, but even that is incorrect! Camelbak listed the width as 3.7 inches so I bought that size silicone sleeve for the bottom of the bottle (before receiving the bottle) - and it's way too big! Using a ruler, it looks to be about 3.25 inches. This does make it easier to hold, though! Even with the incorrect width dimension and the finicky cap, these are still a great buy. I highly recommend these chute bottles. If you find this review helpful, please hit the "helpful" button below - it encourages me to write more reviews!
