IMPORTANT: This review is for UM2 and NOT UMC404HD (Amazon changed the listing) !!! I bought this interface to use with the AT2035 Microphone, it works as advertised but it requires some important setup steps or else it wouldn't work well - Important STEPS for Windows USERS: 1- (CRUCIAL STEP) You must install the old drivers which are 2.8.40 (DO NOT INSTALL THE ONES FROM BEHRINGER WEBSITE), you can find the old drivers if you google them or look around, if you did not, E-mail me at TheScorpio32@gmail.com and I will send them to you. NOTE: when I didn't have any drivers, windows automatically recognized it as a CODEC and when i tried to playback the audio, it had a lot of white noise and hiss, after installing the drivers, all the noises disappeared and it was clear. 2- It is important to note that when using the correct drivers which are the old ones 2.8.40, windows recognizes the microphone input "Line In" as a two channel input (Stereo), however it divides the channels. - XLR (MIC/LINE 1) as the left channel only. - 6.3mm or 1/4" (INST 2) as the right channel only. - So if you were to plug your XLR microphone and then try to listen to it, you'd only hear yourself through the left channel. If you were to use this in VoIP application, some of them fix it automatically like Discord, though that's the only one I've tested so far, additionally, some in-games chat might fix it automatically like Dota 2. I've yet to try it on others. - if you were to use this in a DAW to record music, just set the audio system as ASIO and then choose your driver. it should pick up two different channels (Check photos) then in your tracks you have to manually adjust the Left Channel to "MONO" instead of "Stereo" and then Adjust the Right Channel to "MONO" as well, by doing so, you'd have two separate tracks for the XLR input and the 6.3mm one. I honestly haven't tested the Instrument jack yet, I will test it soon and update this.
