Here's the thing: this sound machine is amazing in that the White Noise sound is loud enough that my kid sleeps through my dogs barking, parties in our living room which is just down the hall from his bedroom, and fireworks on the 4th of July. We've used it every night since he was born and he's now two. BUT, and this is kind of a big but, it stops working after like 9 months or so. We're on our THIRD ONE! Why do I keep buying this thing if it keeps giving out on me? Because I don't have to ever tell guests, "Shhhh! My son's sleeping!" or worry about the FedEx guy knocking and setting my dogs off in a frenzy that will wake my son. BECAUSE NO SOUND CAN GET PAST THIS MACHINE. It's that good. Till it's bad. Still gets 4 stars because moms love sleeping kids! Now, HoMedics, get your s&*t together and figure out how to make a product that lasts a little longer please!
