Draw a solid level line on the surface where the numbers will go; include the distance apart you want them. Put lipstick on each screw end that's mounted on the back of the number...level each number at the top of the line, then push the screws against the surface to transfer the lipstick (pattern). Then drill your surface with a drill bit that is the same diameter as the screw. Use epoxy to fill the hole or 100% silicone, then immediately mount each number in it's place. This worked so well for me I just had to help others. This mounting screw is also sold in metal at the hardware or home improvement stores, but I would still install the numbers this way.
