This isn't certain to put you or your kid on a path to a high earning job as an electrical engineer, but it's more likely to do so than a video game. Instruction booklet is understandable for real humans, but some challenges may be had dealing with versioning of code/firmware/etc. That's actually a good thing because this is what you go through problem solving technical challenges in real life.
